Glass production

Liberec and its surroundings have always been a traditional center of glass production. Several smaller companies dealing with handmade glass are still in operation and it is possible to visit and see the production process from melting through hand shaping up to completion by grinding. It is also possible to see collections of historical glass in several museums in Liberec, Jablonec, Železný Brod, Harrachov and its surroundings. Local products can be bought in the factory stores.
